Ignacio M. DuQuesne


Ignacio M. DuQuesne is Managing Principal of IDQ Capital ("IDQ"). His primary areas of focus within the firm’s venture capital & private equity practice are real estate, technology, consumer, industrials, healthcare, hospitality, and education. He has been involved in over $11+ billion of completed transaction value across 20 advisory mandates, including mergers & acquisitions and financings, and private equity transactions.

Prior to IDQ, Ignacio was a Senior Associate of LEÓN, MAYER & Co. ("LM"), a corporate and real estate private equity and investment banking firm founded by alumni of KKR, Goldman Sachs and Tishman Speyer. Ignacio was also a Senior Associate of Endeavor Schools & EduProperties ("Endeavor Schools"), an education and real estate private equity firm which owns and manages a portfolio of pre-K to 12th grade private schools in select U.S. metropolitan markets.  

Prior to LM and Endeavor Schools, Ignacio was a Financial Analyst in the Healthcare Investment Banking team of RBC Capital Markets (“RBC”) in New York City. At RBC, Ignacio advised large-cap, mid-cap, and small-cap public companies as well as financial sponsor portfolio companies in the biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, and healthcare services sectors. Representative transactions included the $600 million secondary public equity offering for Warner Chilcott, the $77 million sale of CPEX Pharmaceuticals to Footstar, the $41 million initial public offering for MedQuist Holdings, and the $585 million debt refinancing for RadNet. Other clients during this period included: Curis, EKR Therapeutics, Hanger Orthopedic Group, inVentiv Health, Select Medical, and Teva Pharmaceutical Industries.

Ignacio began his career as a Financial Analyst in the Global Industrials Investment Banking team of Citigroup Global Markets (“Citi”) in New York City. At Citi, Ignacio advised aerospace & defense, diversified industrials, alternative energy, and transportation clients. Representative transactions included the $1.7 billion acquisition of EDO Corporation by ITT Corporation and the $1.5 billion equity follow-on offering for Eaton Corporation. Other clients during this period included: Boeing, Danaher, Danaos, First Solar, Pall Corp., and Rockwell Collins.

Ignacio is a long-time member of Raíces de Esperanza, also known as Roots of Hope, a network of more than 3,000 students at more than 55 universities and young professionals across the U.S. and abroad focused on empowering Cuban youth. He is also an active alumnus of Sponsors for Educational Opportunity and Management Leadership for Tomorrow.
